It's a GIRL!

I still don't believe it, but as far as the ultrasound showed, Mike and I are having a baby GIRL!!!

The ultrasound was perfect. Our baby was perfect! She even looked like she was smiling. hihi :)
Awww! I'm so happy right now! Not just that it's a girl, but that I have a healthy baby in my belly. She will be such a great addition to our family and we can't wait to meet her.

Wow, this means I get to go shopping! We have everything for boys so we weren't really planning to get much this round, but now I can actually buy a few things. Yay! Plus I can start thinking of girl names instead, which is really exciting because we were having a really hard time finding a boy's name. Oh, how fun!

But don't worry, I WILL be keeping all of the receipts for anything I buy for our baby girl... because I had always thought we'd have only boys so I'm still thinking they might be wrong and a little boy will pop out of my belly instead. So just incase, I will be prepared with a boy's name too. ;)

Elliot turns 6!

I can't believe my firstborn baby is now six years old! I still remember the pregnancy so clearly, the birth, the beautiful baby they laid on my skin, the gorgeous eyes that peaked up to look at his daddy, and the sweet personality that has continued to blossom over the years.

Elliot is such an amazing kid and I am truly proud to be his mommy. He has such a big heart and is going to grow into such a fine man. He treats people fair and with respect. He cares a lot about his friends and family. He likes to do the right thing. Most of all, he knows how to enjoy life and make sure everyone around him do the same!

For his birthday, he wanted to have a soccer theme party. The cake didn't turn out as well as planned since the week passed by quickly and the cake became quite simple, but hey, he liked it and that's what counts! We had two parties for him: one with friends and one with family/relatives. Mike put on candles that were suppose to look like sparkles, but ended up working more like those trick candles that are almost impossible to blow out. He blew out the first five candles without a problem, but the last one just kept lighting back up. Elliot loved it and laughed hysterically. He has the best laughter and it's absolutely contagious so it became a room full of adults and kids laughing along with him as well.

Elliot was especially excited about his gifts this year! He got everything he wanted including some "cool clothes." The birthday was a success and my little boy is officially not so little any more.

Dog-sledding

Elliot got to go dog-sledding with his daycare today! It sounded like so much fun - I wish I got to do stuff like that! ;)

We have a fun weekend ahead of us so T.G.I.F.!!!
